Hestra Gloves

Hestra is very proud to enter a partnership with ICAR and cooperate on a global basis. We believe that close collaboration with alpine rescue specialists and teams are essential. Working together will allow us to better understand the challenges rescue professionals face and help us continue developing the best possible hand protection for those working in the most demanding environments. At Hestra, our goal is to provide rescue teams around the world with gloves that offer the highest level of fit, protection, durability, and quality, enabling them to perform their jobs safely, professionally, and with great confidence.

Hestra has been dedicated exclusively to gloves since 1936. As a family-owned company, now led by the third and fourth generations of the Magnusson family, we have spent over 90 years perfecting the art and science of glove making. Our design and product development continue to take place at our headquarters in the village of Hestra in southern Sweden, where the company was founded. Our gloves are manufactured in our own Hestra factories, and we source all leather, fabrics, wool, and other materials directly from carefully selected suppliers. This gives us full control of the entire production chain, ensuring exceptional quality, complete transparency, and a strong commitment to social and environmental responsibility. We are proud to employ some of the world's most experienced glove makers in our company. Their craftsmanship, combined with generations of accumulated knowledge, allows us to preserve and continuously develop the expertise that has made Hestra a global leader in premium gloves in different categories like Sports, Fashion and Pro Gloves. What began as a small business serving the forestry workers of Sweden has grown into a collection of more than 450 different glove models for skiing, all kind of outdoor activities, fashion, and professional users with the highest demands. Through our Hestra Pro range, we offer specialized gloves for weather protection, multi-purpose work, gardening, and advanced protective applications, that have been developed over many years.

Today, glove-making offers far greater technical possibilities, and the needs of working hands are more diverse. We design gloves for outdoor work in all kinds of weather, as well as precision-fit gloves for landscaping, gardening, and assembly. Every pair is carefully tested and CE-certified to meet European standards. And because we believe in responsibility, our company is also certified under the ISO 14001 environmental management system. Still, the values of our great grandfather built into his first gloves remain at the heart of everything we do.
We believe that a close partnership with ICAR represents an outstanding opportunity to combine Hestra's expertise in glove development with the invaluable experience of alpine rescue professionals. By working closely together, we can continue to innovate, validate, and refine products that help rescue teams perform their work with maximum safety, comfort, and reliability—wherever their mission takes them.

For us at Hestra, gloves will always be a craft.
