Position Paper on Accident Reporting

In September 2026, the UIAA together with ICAR and the IFMGA published a joint statement, underscoring the importance of fact-based accident prevention. All three organisations encourage national activity representative bodies, insurance companies, professional guiding and tourism organisations, sports associations, rescue services, instructors, guides, and all who cherish safe outdoor pursuits to support and engage with this important work.
